This is the link of the website: Cool Things When you go to this site, you will be drawn in by the things it shown on the web page. All interesting stuff in one place. It has a very simple design but it manage to attract our attention to the site. So, why is this page appealing to us? This is because the rules of heuristics can be seen here. Which one of it is the visibility of the status system, where the system regularly kept the users informed about the site through appropriate comments within acceptable times. Other than that, is the match between system and the real world. The site convey the users' language, with words, phrases and concepts familiar to the user, rather than system-oriented terms. It follows the real-world conventions, making information appear in a natural and logical order. Unappealing Web Page to Us

  Fix It Club this is the URL of the website. This web page design is very unappealing to us. One of the reason this site is unattractive is because it does not have the consistency and standards for a website. Other than that, there is no the visibility of the system status in this website. Lastly, the help and documentation that are provided is very hard to find. The page is quite unlikable, how to improve the website so that it will reach a certain standard of a design. First to get the consistency and standards, it must make sure that the users would not have to wonder whether different words, situations, or actions mean the same thing. Thus, follow platform conventions. Next, the system should always keep users informed about what is going on, through appropriate feedback within reasonable time. Lastly, it might be better if the system can be used without documentation, but it may be necessary to provide help and documentation at an appropriate places in the site. ...

Basic HTML Coding

We have learn some basic HTML codes in or previous semester in the course of Web Application. We did not use any special software to create the web page. We just used the 'Notepad' to write the coding. So in our second session of laboratory class Web Design course, we need to answer four simple questions about HTML codes. Well the questions are as followed: Write the markup language code to display your name in the largest-size heading element. Write the markup language code for unordered list to display the days of the week. Write the markup language code for an ordered list that uses uppercase letters to order the items. This ordered list will display the following: Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. Think of a favourite quote by someone you admire.
